The concept of equality of opportunity includes the principle that everyone gets an equal playing field to achieve wealth, prestige and power. Everyone gets a fair chance to try their hands at achieving the desired things because the rules are same for everyone. All the individuals thus get to compete on equal eligibility and have an opportunity to shine. Now what will take them further are their ability, talent, and maybe a bit of luck. In this regard, this concept accepts that a small amount of inequality exists in the society and it is okay as long as the rules governing them are equal and same for everyone.
